The property covers 16 hectares (40 acres) and has a golf driving range, giant chess board, vegetable gardens / orchard and magnificent stands of karri - unique to Western Australia’s south west. Each Saturday night, staff turn out wonderful chef-prepared pizzas from the commercial kitchen or (when there’s not a total fire ban in place) the outdoor, wood-fired, pizza oven. Guests are encouraged to participate in this happy activity which draws residents of Gracetown and Margaret River. We also encourage guests to use the gas-fired BBQ and microwave, both of which are located within the lodge.
I recently booked an Easter 2019 holiday at Karriview. The property is a unique private sanctuary tucked away amongst some of the most amazing national park in the South West of Australia. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. The property is very private, relaxing and family friendly. What I like best is that It’s ideally located a very short drive to some of the best wineries and surfing beaches in the world. I’ve already booked again to stay at Christmas and can fully recommend it as the ideal place to stay. Thanks very much, .
Our big family and another two groups of friends spent our 2019 Easter Holiday down there. It was an amazing stay! The place has a lovely country stay feel as we literally lived in the bush. We absolutely loved our stay for a family holiday and getaway. Location suited our vineyard visit and close to the beach. Very pleasant reception hosts after management change. They helped kids were entertained. The homemade breakfast is perfect. Instead going out for dinner, we made our BBQ feast. Family atmosphere. Kids could run and play and just have fun. Large clean rooms with comfy bed.
This property is a definite on our re-visit list!! The grounds are simply stunning with views of the natural bushland and the rooms are very comfortable. My kids (aged 8, 15 and 18) absolutely loved it as well. The older ones enjoyed a walk through a bush trail to Gracetown beach, while the younger one explored the grounds, visited the chickens and befriended the staff, while I had a cuppa on the deck. I actually had a holiday! Brian (the manager), was incredibly hospitable and made us feel like invited guests...nothing was too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed the woodfired pizza night in the main lodge area, as well as exploring the sights & venues around the local area. I really look forward to our next chance to visit Karriview. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Karriview has reopened under new management. Brian and his team are doing a great job of bringing the property back to standard and prices are very reasonable. Very serene location amongst the Karri trees and close enough that you can hear the ocean if there is a big swell. Short drive to Gracetown beach. Great option for those that prefer to be in a spacious rural setting and only 10kms from Margaret River.
The Lodge encompasses a living room, dining area, games room, library, open & covered decks and 8 bedrooms. Separate from the Lodge are 3 “chalets” which incorporate 10 large bedrooms in varying configurations.
